Half Term Information Sheet
This half term's CHAS
12th January- Bentley for caring for his friends when they were feeling sad or unwell.
19th January - Delilah for putting in lots of effort into all of her learning and activities. Delilah has tried particularly hard at her phonics this week.
26th January - Sophie for her fantastic efforts with all of her work. Sophie has shown a lot of determination this week.
9th February - Georgia for always helping others in the classroom and putting 100% into all of her work.
23rd February- Jacob is always willing to let others join in his games and activities, however this week he has taken extra time to ensure others are feeling happy and included.
16th March- Roma for being super helpful and trying to help her friends to find their books and spelling cards
26th March- Jakub for always having a smile on his face. Jakub is always willing to help others and ensures that everyone is included.
3rd April- Erin for always trying her hardest in the classroom and outside. Erin put 100% in all of her work and always tries her hardest to include others.
20th April- Tommy for trying really hard to make good choices this morning. Tommy has CHAS all around school this week.
27th April- Elsie for always showing CHAS around school and trying extra hard in all of her activities.
4th May- Rosie for her fantastic wedding work and for sharing a beautiful wedding veil from home, giving us all lots to talk about.
11th May- Callum for putting in lots of effort into all of his maths and phonics. Callum has worked hard to include everyone in his activities.
What we've been doing this week
W/C 30th April- On Wednesday we had a lovely visit from a fieldside lamb called Jack. He enjoyed having cuddles with Miss Rice and we all had a stroke and pet to make him feel welcome. September's school starters also came for a visit and enjoyed helping us to look after Jack the lamb. On Thursday our parents/carers enjoyed coming into school for our third 'Stay and Play' session. The sun was shining outside and we all had fun building a volcano and a fantastic den.
W/C 16th April- We have had a fantastic week back at school with the sun shine. We explored the bubbles, built dens, created summer inspired sticky pictures and had our first PE lesson outside.
W/C 26th March- We have lots of exciting Easter activities planned, including Easter basket making, chocolate nests and Easter egg hunts.
W/C 19th March- We has a fantastic time with our families on Thursday's stay and play session. Our families were invited to join in our exciting Easter activities. On Friday we shared our lovely singing voices with our families and friends in our end of term singing assembly.
W/C 12th March- We all had a fantastic time on Wednesday on our school trip to Cannon Hall farm. We were so lucky and managed to see lots of baby animals. We enjoyed a petting experience, a tractor ride and a trip into the reptile house. This trip has led us all to doing some fantastic writing and drawings to help us learn more about Spring and New Life.
W/C 19th February- We have all had a fantastic start back after the half-term holiday. We have enjoyed the start to our new topics of new life and spring time. Our classroom has been filled with lots of spring time activities. We enjoyed celebrating a late pancake day by tasting yummy pancakes with orange juice.
W/C 8th January- We have had a fantastic first week back and really enjoyed seeing all our friends again. Our classroom has had an amazing make-over and we became stuck in straight away to new activities. Our new topic has been all about houses and homes. We have made some fantastic models and done some amazing writing about our homes and families.
Well done to Jacob, Sammy, Erin, Sophie, Roma and Emilia for earning a Merit Award this term. These six children have shown a fantastic effort in all of their work and are always willing to help others.
We had a fabulous time at Cannon Hall farm. We were so lucky and met lots of lovely farm animals. The trip helped us to learn lots about new life and Spring animals.
The children in Acorns class have been very excited to start taking home reading books. They have worked very hard to practice new phonic sounds and new words.
We had a very exciting visit from Tesco. They talked to us about taking care of our bodies and making sure we try our best to eat health foods. We tried lots of different fruits and yogurts and all voted on our favorites.
We are all very exited for Christmas and have worked very hard to help decorate the classroom with winter themed activities and decorations. We have prepared for the winter fayre by donating our old teddies and renaming them, ready for a lovely new home. The Nativity will soon be coming around and we are all working very hard to learn our lines and practice the songs.
